VOTING ON EXPENSES

Expenses can be approved in 2 ways.

Anything that was included on the Annual APPROVED Budget may be spent without additional voting.

Any additional expenses not captured on the Budget (or any changes to the previously approved budget) MUST be voted on and approved by members at a regularly scheduled General Meeting.

A chapter may not vote to spend money that they do not have. Such a vote would not be valid, and the treasurer needs to know how much money is available at any time, so she can advise the chapter, should this issue come up.
