MOMS Club of Burke-North, Va chapter held their 12th Annual Preschool Fair on Thursday January 10, 2013. We raised $1,238.56 for our charity, The Messiah Weekend Back Program, exceeding our $1,000 goal! The charity discreetly provides food for children attending Fairfax County Virginia School. This is a needed resource for children who may not be able to get the essential nutrition provided during the school week or over the weekends.
Our dedicated Preschool Fair Coordinator, Rachael Goldman Gorbutt, organized the fair for the second year in a row. Our chapter earned the Outstanding Service Project Award for last year’s Preschool Fair. We could not have done it without the tremendous support from our chapter members and the local businesses in our community, who made generous donations to help exceed our goal. We are all very proud of our accomplishment.
