The MOMS Club of Arvada, CO wanted to do something a little more special for Earth Day last year so they decided to host an Earth Day party at a local park. Their focus was on activities that would help the kids (and moms) learn how to better take care of the earth.
There were crafts to show the children how you can make fun things from recycled materials.
Moms read some conservation themed books for a story time.
And they even demonstrated a solar oven! Are those cookies in there?
The event was overall a huge success and very well attended. They are hoping to make this sort of event an annual tradition!
