CREATING AN ANNUAL BUDGET
It is important to start the year with a budget. The budget allows the board to anticipate the chapter’s annual expenses. All budgets must be approved first by the Board, and then by the membership at a regular business meeting.
Remember to include:
- Estimated Re-Registration Fee ($5/member or $50, whichever is greater).
- Membership Pins for each new member
- Costs associated with any planned Service Projects
- No more than 15% of total dues income for parties or members only benefits
It is a good idea to do a mid-year review of your budget to ensure you are on track and don’t need to make any adjustments.
