All our members look forward to that one night a month when they can get out for the evening. But a lot of us need to do it on a budget, too. Going out to dinner at a restaurant can get pricey. Remember – there are lots of options for a memorable evening without spending much money at all.
First, ask around and you may find members with expertise in a certain area, like scrapbooking or nutrition. Why not ask them to share that knowledge in a fun way like making a mini photo album or giving a cooking demonstration? Potlucks are a wonderful way to share recipes, and sticking to a theme, like a fondue, can make it even more enjoyable. It’s great if a member can host in her home, but don’t overlook the library, community center or church as a no-cost place to get together in the evening.
