FUNDRAISING FOR A MEMBER

A service project by a local chapter may not ever benefit a member, simply because she is a chapter member. Example: fundraising money for a field trip to the zoo.

However, a chapter may do a service project for a member in need, such as when that member has a specific situation that would qualify her for aid, even if she were not a member. Examples: a member whose house was destroyed by fire or whose child has a life-threatening disease which required expensive treatments the family cannot afford.
