SCOPE OF PROJECTS
Some chapters do many smaller projects throughout the year – Box Tops, adopt a family, food drives, etc. Other chapters prefer to go all out on one or more large projects – March of Dimes Walk, playground, community blood drive, etc. Talk to your members about what type of service offering they want THIS year. Just because your chapter raised thousands of dollars for March of Dimes last year doesn’t mean they want to tackle the same project again this year. Sometimes after a large service project, a chapter prefers to scale back a bit. That’s OK! Be sure to listen to your members. If they don’t want another large project, and you proceed, you may not get the volunteer support you desire.
