PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS
Prospective members are allowed to attend two business meetings or park days ONLY before deciding to join. For everyone’s safety, a current chapter member should ALWAYS meet a prospective member before allowing her to join the chapter. Do not accept membership forms or dues through the mail or online, without actually meeting the mom in person first.
Don’t be afraid to let prospective members know what MOMS Club stands for — at-home mothers, daytime activities, etc.
It may be a good idea to print a sample calendar for your prospective members that excludes contact and location information. This will allow them to get a good feel for your chapter without being able to just show up at an event. If you wish to, you may do the same with a sample newsletter. Again, be sure any identifying information, locations and photos are removed before distribution to people who are not already in the chapter. .
