APRIL
The Nominating Committee is introduced at your General Meeting and in your newsletter. At this time a call for members who wish to run for election to any office is announced. The Nominating Committee meets to consider potential candidates and develop a slate of officers.
Don’t be afraid to nominate everyone for something! Nominations are anonymous, and members can always decline. Moms often won’t nominate themselves, but if you tell them specifically how their strengths will play in to the position, and express confidence in their ability, it may spark an interest. Be sure to also talk about the benefits of being an officer: great experience for future endeavors, bringing your vision to the chapter (favorite causes, projects), modeling service to your children, and more.
